Astraying Voyages - 00:01
"Captain, you must realise that it is I who now hold sway on this ship.", Hector Bolivar taunted, "I will let you live, only because you are more experienced in using the jump mechanism.".
"Go jump yourself, you two bit bastard.", slurred Captain Alston. But the Captains' retort opened a fresh rain of fists and feet from the two thugs holding the Captain. He grunted in pain as the ruffians threw him against the airlock door. Neville Alston then fell to the ground with a hollow thud.
Bolivar looked down upon the bruised body of the Captain and said, "It's a pity that you have refused to join us in the New Revolution, you could have been a great leader in our cause, but instead you have chosen to resist us.".
"You're mad Bolivar, you will never be able to overthrow the Terran Alliance with your pathetic force."
"Maybe not in my time, but my children will return to Terra to free it from the ZPG Laws.", said Bolivar, "But you will never see your children again. Farewell Captain, may space be kind to you.".
"A curse on you Bolivar," Alston screamed as they hoisted him through the airlock doors, "may you and your children never see Terra again.".
The interior door was locked shut while the Captain spent his few moments in atmosphere pounding on the reinforced viewing window, staring menacingly into Bolivar's cold black eyes.
"What an empty threat," Hector said mockingly as he hit the release key to the exterior door, "God favors only the righteous, and God hates those who deny him more Christian Souls."
Neville Alston's body was thrown into space by the vacuum, losing a leg as he careened into the door and out into oblivion. The last thing the Captain consciously saw as he was torn apart by the extremes of pressure and temperature was the exterior hull of his ship some 50 metres outside the hull and the 8 metre tall words words, "TAS Liberator".
